The students of Class VIII and IX of the Vidyalaya participated in the Shramdaan programme organized by Embassy of India, Nepal, in connection with World Environment Day on 5th June 2014. The Ambassador of India to Nepal, Shri Ranjit Ray addressed the gathering and reminded the students that large scale tree plantation programme alone can help in preserving our green planet for the next generation. Mr Leelamani Poudel, Chief Secretary, Nepal Government, in his address suggested that children must plant a sapling on their birthdays and share the responsibility of conserving and protecting our environment. Principal of the Vidyalaya Mrs Radha Mahalakshmi and few teachers joined the Embassy Authorities in the plantation programme and encouraged the students to ensure proper care of the environment.
